Alex has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand wine sectors in roles spanning vineyard operations, grape supply management, irrigation and grape quality research, research management and grower education.

Much of that time has been spent working across the Riverland and Sunraysia. He is currently Senior R&D Program Manager with Wine Australia where he works with wine and grape producers to identify and invest in projects of importance to the sector.

Alex has previously held roles as Chief Viticulturist for Accolade Wines/ConstellationWines, Viticulturist at The Australian Wine Research Institute/CSIRO and as Director of the Willunga Basin Water Company. In his spare time he oversees the management of a vineyard in McLaren Vale, SA.
